I teach a number of courses about the ethics of new media practice.
At Stratford Campus, students create crowdfunding campaigns, websites, educational games and videos for a industry client, while learning about persuasive design.
At the main University of Waterloo Campus, I teach a Society and Technology course which centres largely on games and new media.
This is a draft syllabus I made drawing from Values in Design and other STS influenced work. I’m still hammering it out, especially the lab side of things as I want to replicate the feeling (and pressures) of working within a agile project with sprints and milestones.
